    I have a question regarding search engine indexing...
    Can search engines index dynamic sites with ? and = (query strings) in the URL?

    Most of the time yes.

    If you use sessionids, or an ID parameter that looks like a session id, they may not. They'll also usually not index such URLs as deeply or as quickly. Plus, those URLs are not people friendly.

    Ergo, using search engine friendly urls is still desirable, even if not technically necessary.
