That is indeed huge news!
I had a client a few days back point out that one of his competitors had pages appearing in the index as a result of a select box. I basically discarded it saying, "Nah, Google don't crawl forms like that, so there must be some other link to the pages."
... Time to go eat my hat!
I've got a better headline, "Google spams bogus information in web forms."
If its a search form, thats one thing, but user information & surveys, Google should stay away.

Kinda annoying... Since it was one of the unique features that set A1 Sitemap Generator apart from even Google :-) Anyways, I can tell you, if you have a form with many option/select... And you have to test all combinations... I understand why Google won't do it all websites ;-)
