I'm looking for a very simple shopping cart to integrate into an existing site.
No bells and whistels - just add products (up to 100) calculate shipping and then checkout.
Any recommendations?

Try VPASP (www.vpasp.com). Easy to use, very customisable and adaptable.
ekmpower shop has a very good product.
I like Click Cart Pro, version 5.1. That is the old version, but if you want something simpler than the current version, which is v. 6, then you can still make arrangements to purchase v. 5.1 (but it is not supported).
I went through a number of shopping carts and I've decided Click Cart Pro [CCP] offered the best product for the money. They also have a fantastic support forum (I got a ton of questions answered in no time).
I just had to build a site for a client that basically just wanted to sell 2 or 3 products on the net and since I had good experience with CCP v. 5.1 I decided to install that shopping cart on his site. I also talked my client into adding a few more products, in addition to what he had originally intended to sell.
You can see how this simple shop looks on his site at Cymbal Guy. But, once again, this is the old version. The new version is more complicated, so if you want the old version you have to make special arrangements. The old version is not supported, but you can still get all your questions answered through their support forum (same difference).
If you follow all the rules, you miss all the fun.

The new version of CCP is actually in PHP (I'm pretty sure), and can be used as a very simple shopping cart, if one wants to sell just a few products.
But, Chris, if you don't mind me asking, what's the disadvantage of CGI? Why is it that you dislike it so much?
I remember reading one of your tutorials where you explain what the differences in all scripting languages are, but I was never really clear on the reasons why CGI (or Perl, I guess) is not practical. I've always used CGI scripts and find them to be very easy to set up. Also, I personally prefer scripts that use a flat-text database as opposed to MySQL. I'll be first to admit that I may be a bit behind with the times, but I still don't understand the reasons why PHP with MySQL is generally considered better than a CGI script with a flat-text DB.
If someone could explain this to me in few simple words, I would appreciate it (note: I am not a programmer).
