I am not a webmaster, so not sure how much my 2 cent matters but...
I like the color and all that. The content is great, love the quotes. The thoughts are nice as well, very uplifting.
The only thing i would sugest is moving the advertisements. I have to scroll too far to see what the blog is about. For ones into speed browsing they may not scroll that far. I'd move it to the bottom, putting it on the side if possible would be great.

I think you should add a couple small eye catching pictures through out to keep peoples interest a little longer as we all know the average attention span is getting shorter now does
