    Transfer domain name?

So I'm wanting to transfer my domain name from said crappy webhost, to godaddy. Can anyone explain the process of this, and how long it takes?

I don't particularly want to screw anything up

First make sure it isn't "locked" at the current registrar.

Then put in a transfer request at Godaddy, they'll email the domain owner a confirmation and they may need the current owner to provide an authorization code from the current registrar, and thats it.

It isn't too tough, so long as the domain is in your name and the host cooperates, if it is in their name, well, then can be asses about it.
