    Best way to add amazon?

Since a lot of you seem to know your stuff with Amazon(Im a big beginner with amazon!) I want to get feedback on how I should add amazon to my site http://www.cellphonereviews.net

Should I add those "buy now from amazon" button links for each phone from it's review or?

    Any advice is appreciated...

Something called AWS. Ask the people here for details.

If you want to add each button individually, then use the buttons that launch a pop up which say buy from amazon now.

You will want to make use of Amazon Web Services. Do a search on google. There's loads of info on how to do it. Do you know PHP? There's a good tutorial on devshed.com

    I know a bit PHP.

Enough to know I would have to convert all the pages from .html to .php

I am more or less looking for just the best way to add just a simple link to buy it from amazon.

I'll get reading on what you suggested.

You might not need to do that, you can put code in your .htaccess file, so that all .html files are parsed as php. I do this - all the pages in my Casino review site are actually PHP, although the filenames end in .html.

Can get the code you need when I get home, but a quick search on Google should find out how to do it.

You don't need to use AWS if you just want to put links on your static pages - just use Amazon's linking tools for seperate items, and it will keep the information updated for you. And customers will immediately be sent to Amazon if they want more information or to buy something.

Only use AWS if you want the product info page to be branded to your site (I don't see the point unless you want to run your own Amazon store...).

Amazon easy links can be used with HTML and they include things like product picture and price (and supposedly convert better than text links).

r2d2, Why bother? Why not just leave them as .php and save yourself the overhead of parsing .html files with no php in them?

MarkB, AWS is so easy to set up that I think it's worth it. It's easy to get a simple price and picture link from amazon like you say, but I think that being able to customise and brand it to your own site really helps sales. Not to mention reviews etc.

DaveM has loads of phones on his site and adding links for each of them will be quite time consuming. Considering the nature of his site, the addition the reviews etc would be well worth it.

DaveM I suggest you have a look through the stuff on Devshed and see what you think. If you get stuck we can help you out.

So Dave doesnt need to change all his filenames to .php ...

If you meant why do I bother, well hmmm, dunno really All my pages have PHP in them anyway, so it doesnt make a huge difference - just prefer a .html extension I guess

Nice I'd only have the image as the link to amazon though.

Does Amazon mind if you edit the code?

I doubt they'll mind. They benefit whatever.
