Expired Domain -- Problem with Google

One of our 2 domain names (one is abbreviated company name) expired as the person who was in charge of renewing left the company and her email address was the contact for the renewal.

Now that the domain has expired, Google webmaster tools show links from the expired domain name back to our main site. This would appear to Google that we have mirror sites, I think. I believe we're going to be penalized. What can I do?

    Get the domain back.

Otherwise, no, you shouldn't have any adverse affects other than the eventual loss of those links.
