Inordinate number of Burst! default views?

Has anyone else seen an increase in the number of "default views" they've had under Burst! Media as of late? It's gotten to the point where maybe one out of every 8 page views I get is actually a paid pageview.

Now, seeing as how my largest site is, in large part, a community, I understand that I might run into this problem more than others, but I also know that this problem is relatively new, despite the fact that my site structure is not.

Has anyone else run into this sort of thing? I have been able to tie some of it (though very vaguely and inprecisely) to the personal campaigns I run when default ads are displayed, but can't pin down whether or not this is coincidence.

Any experiences would be appreciated.

Most ad networks serve more defaults around new years since many campaigns end and it takes a little while to start new ones up.
