RSS Feed With PHP File Extension

Is there anything wrong with using a .php file for your RSS feed?

Nope, works fine for the readers I've tested with... also work if you do rss.php?feed=FEEDNAME too.

Some popular scripts also use this already too so I would say its pretty safe bet it works universaly Even IE7 will parse the .php as RSS if its setup correctly.

Yes, the URL doesn't matter, as long as you have the correct format and tags which identify it as an RSS file it will be correctly interpreted as one.

it's pretty easy to mod_rewrite it, IMO it just looks more pro. but the rest of my sites don't really look pro so i probably shouldn't bother.
