I've never been part of a case study, but someone did personally contact me to work on optimizing my AdSense ads and provided personalized suggestions. Some I implemented some I did not.

It was nice to get their suggestions, but I had already done so much experimentation and optimization that there wasn't many new suggestions they could give that I was willing to implement. Really the advice was the basics. There weren't any earth shattering secrets that I learned. If there was any improvement in eCPM, it was very minor.

I've gotten the optimization emails as well. The suggestions were mostly things I was doing already.

The nice thing though is it gives you a real person contact at Google whom you can later email about questions/problems.

Erin here though has actually been a "case study" they published.

Yeah, I am a case study. See my sig. Maybe I misunderstand you, but I don't think Google has a program to optimize your site and then make a case study out of it.

And yes, Google has contacted me to help me optimize my site. They gave me some tips that most would consider basic, but it was helpful nonetheless, as I don't have a lot of time to compare things to see what works best.

Erin, since we are in a similar niche, I found it interesting that based on your case study, you get three times the page views I do, but I get three times the daily visitors that you do.

What types of stuff do you do to promote your site?

I've had help optimizing my site too. My earnings almost doubled for about two days, but then they went back to normal.

I do woefully little to promote it, unfortunately. I just don't have the time. If you look it over, you'll find lots of problems with it. I'm trying to get it fixed up, but I'll have to hire somebody I think.

You know, I don't recall the stats that I mentioned for that interview, but that was probably when the forum was still part of the site. I've since moved the forum to a different site.

I haven't even checked my website stats in a LONG time.

Just checked--daily page views are down without the forum. Uniques looks to be higher. PM me if you want. I just don't want to discuss this kind of stuff in public.

Same here, I really need to figure out some new ways to promote my site that are cost effective.
