    Is this a bot?

I've been getting members on my site with an "iphone converter" signature. They make replies to topics that are a little strange, but seem like they could real.

The latest on is post #10 in this thread:

It would be a pretty sophisticated bot to post that response I would think, but it could very easily be a spammer that just registered and spent a few seconds making that post for some backlinks. In this case it would be hard to delete it because it could be a legitimate new user. One thing you could do is now allow signature for new members until they have 10 posts or so, which might slow down any manual spamming.

More users signed up and are making posts about that site. I've banned them all. They never talk about anything else.

Spammers keep getting more and more sophisticated.

Eventually you just have to ban the entire country that they're coming from.

Can you set up a site so you only allow access to certain countries?

That means losing loots of traffic. I wouldn't do this.
