    Adsense image ads

I was lucky to be invited into one of these 'google optimization' programs. And finally get raise certain issues with a google employee, one on one.

One issue they suggested, was enabling image ads. I personally am not convinced they perform aswell, as text based.

My site has a really decent CTR on most of my adunits, and the employee couldn't raise any improvement ideas on any of my internal pages.

My opinion would be imagebased ads would be good for low performing adunits, due to paying per impression.

Do you guys have image based ads enabled, or documented any affects on your overall revenue? I'm really not convinced, its a good idea.

Image ads are usually CPM so they can be good, especially for an ad unit such as the bottom of your page that has a lower CTR. If you have a high CTR it might not be worth allowing them on your main units, but it might not hurt to turn them on for a day to find out.
