    EPS Files in Fireworks?

I can't figure out how to open an EPS file appropriately in Macromedia Fireworks. When I import, they all come in as tiny bitmaps with terrible, terrible resolution.

I was considering just switching to Adobe, but this was much cheaper. Does anyone know how I can open these files in FW?

I'm pretty sure that Fireworks opens eps files as bitmaps - not vectors.

You could import it and specify larger dimensions, then scale it down to see if that improves the quality.

I needed to open this file type a few months ago and found PageMaker to be the best thing. If you only need to use it now, perhaps download the trial like I did. I'm not sure about Fireworks though.

I'd download GIMP if I were you.

Its as good as photoshop and free and will handle all file types.
