How do I download my PHPBB files?

When I try to download my PHPBB files using my ftp to put ads on it won't allow me...

Is there any other way I can put google ads on a PHPBB board or can I download it another way?

You have to look at the permissions if you can't download the files. Also you don't need to download all the files only overall_header.tpl from your templates directory as it's the only file you need to edit in order to show ads on top of every page. I've just recently made a new phpBB template for a site and it was really simple.

You can't download your phpBB files using ftp? Very odd. What error is it giving you?

They download but they are 0 bytes. The FTP program says 22kb to download, then aboard the process.

I will try to template in the morn.

Either your webhost is screwing with you or you need a new ftp client. Try http://smartftp.com

I was using coffee cup, I have smart FTP, I should use it more, just it isn't in my most used programs thing on the start bar in IE.

I updated it with the template file emke told me about.
