Anyone here have domains at RegisterFly?

They have been terminiated as an eNom reseller: http://www.enom.com/news.asp?artID=a97

What will this mean for our domains at RegisterFly?

When I read that, I wondered what would be happening. I've got one domain at Registerfly, so hopefully we will get some sort of notice soon.

You may not have been notified since this only affects domains registered before Feb 2006 since at that point they became their own registrar and only domains before then were resold from enom. If you registered domains before that, it looks like the are basically letting you either set up your own enom account to move them into or you can transfer them to another registrar. I think the normal enom prices are pretty high, but as a reseller I am able to set up 8.95 reseller accounts (the minimum they allow) so if interested PM me for more info.

I had 5 domains with RegisterFly (I had moved them there from GoDaddy, because the interface was annoying, but the RF one is awful!), and have decided its time to move them. I used namecheap, and it seems better.

I'm getting pissed, I contacted Enom the week before the announcement, no response. I followed their instructions, it didn't work, I sent them an e-mail, no response. What a joke.

It seems their main line of business is to build up a portfolio of traffic domains and niche content sites. I'm not sure where running a domain registration company fits into this. I'm guessing they just purchased enom to get the benefits of controlling an ICANN accredited registrar such as more easily catching dropped names for themselves, cheaper domain registration for themselves, etc.

I'm not sure how providing domain registration services to customers fits into this aside from giving them a cover under which to keep accreditation as a registrar.

Namecheap has been great the two years I've used them if anyone is interested in a new registrar.
