Lightbulb How & where to find good hosting??

Finding a good hosting plan is not an easy task. You got to think of: space, bandwidth, support, customer testimonial, domain price, contract, etc. Here is a quick guide on helping you to find your best hosting plan:

    1. Hosting Forums
Search through hosting review & offers section. After found the hosting, found some customer review posted at the forums as well. Personal referral is useful as well.

    2. Search Engine
google, yahoo, msn will list major hosting company on top 20 result. View them one by one. Select at least 5 hosting for comparison.

    3. Search for deals/offers
Search for hosting coupons, or hosting offers from forums or search engine.

    4. Post request on forums
If you still cant find a good hosting, post a request at the forums, and there will be experienced webmaster give you a couple recommendation. I usually will give recommendation based on my experience with various hosting.

Just go on webhostingtalk.com and search. For the latest info just post company names and ask for opinions.

In our experience the best place to again knowledge about good hosts and ISP's is through word of mouth, DIRECTLY. Find sites similar to yours and ask their webmasters, who do you use and what are your experiences.

Word of mouth customers are usually 50 times happier and are more likely to spread the word further.

Agreed. But search first, as most companies are discussed multiple times already.

If you found a host and you are not sure about his ability/support, you can ask for the customer feedback at that forum or just go through some of the best hosting review forums/site.

Word of mouth is the way to go... for example, I'm attached at the hip with HostMySite.com. Their support is excellent.

That AN Hosting link funnels through an affiliate code btw...

I use Nexcess and think they're good as well. The only issue I have is that they don't have cpanel, which I like better than Siteworx which is the admin panel they use.
Don't you just love free internet games ?

I'll give another recommendation for www.nexcess.net . They're the best host I've ever dealt with. They offer excellent support that really goes above and beyond what most hosts will bother with. They can handle anything from small shared hosting accounts to load balanced multi-server setups.
