They've been mentioned a number of times. Just do a search back through the SEO forum.

You asked just after ten last night, and you expect someone to reply with a great answer immediately? It's christmas for god sake, not everyones got time for answering little questions that have been asked before.

You should be greatful for having access to such a great site.

lol, I would have thought trailing over to sitepoint and posting a new thread would have taken longer

    Thanks chromate...

    document.write('<a hr' + 'ef="http://w' + 'ww.website.com">click here</a>');

I'll keep that there for future refrence...

Just been trying this, and think I'm gonna make a JS function which just does this:
    Code:
    document.write("<a hr")
    document.write("ef=")
Then call the function rather than writing '<a href=' wherever I need to link a page I dont wanna "vote" for..

i believe those would be totally unusable to people who don't have javascript enabled. why don't you try blocking a server side redirect page with robots.txt instead(if you can get bots to listen to it).

I prefer blocking pages as well kdb003, there doesn't seem to be as much risk as with javascript links (with people having it enabled and such).

Could do, but wont Google still count the link, even though it cant visit the page. Eg a lot of pages have PR => 1 but arent listed in Google...

I want to get the number of links Google counts on my page down...

I'm joining r2d2's question - OK, with server-side redirect page I can be sure that I'm not voting for other sites, but I still want to reduce the number of links on the page for a better weight of each "important" link. Maybe forms is the answer?

Yeah, you might be giving your PR to your own site, but whats the use of PR on a page which redirects to another site?

Now Im thinking that redirect pages achieve nothing.

    I agree...

I can't believe I'm working on my sites on christmas day... I could never be a Jew and not be able to work on sundays... I'm addicted to working...

Edit: I'm going to spend a few minutes browsing Chris' sites as a break...
