    Creative Marketing Techniques.

I'm looking to advertise offline for a financial website. Target market includes college graduates and those with credit card debt.

It's not a traditional site by any means as it's a free service for people to use related to credit cards. Being a free service, investing much into SEO in the credit card industry is almost pointless. It's just not practical to buy more links than the guys at the top of the engines.

So -- offline, or online, how to stick out from everyone selling snake oil?

In other news, I've been registed here for over 3 years now. I lost my account information some time ago and couldn't find the e-mail address to reset my password. But, I'm back now.

Classifieds are filled with so much junk and "spam." Particularly ads that are financial and related to money.

You really think that'd be effective advertising?

Welcome back Shawn, what happened to your avatar? This place has been pretty dry lately... filled with spammers and not inspiring me at all.

I don't know much about offline advertising but I wouldn't think this would be to hard of a task to do. Are you looking to spend money in advertising? Or Free? If so how much of a budget do you have?

I'm not sure where my avatar went. Someone probably stole it.

I'm looking to spend money to advertise -- budget isn't a much of a concern, though I wouldn't want to do television/radio advertising.

I'm based at a university and on my first day I got a pack about college life. It was basically a small booklet about life on campus, things to do etc etc. Perhaps if you contacted universities or whatever and asked (or paid) them to put this leaflet into the pack, you could get some response. Probably things wouldn't take off straight away, but after a few months at uni I'm sure some will start to have problems and could remember that leaflet they picked up at the start of term...
