Angry Unable to run Google Sitemap Generator script (sitemap_gen.py)

I've just spent hours creating a Google SiteMap, it took a looong time creating all the individual URLs in the first alternative in the config.xml file (in the "sitemap_gen_1.4" pack, Open Source by google).

Then, i came to step 4 "Running the Sitemap Generator script (sitemap_gen.py)" ( https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...generator.html ), but i don't know how to connect to my server any other ways then by .ftp (can anyone tell me?) ...

Anyway, i contacted my host, and they tell me that they don't support python, and that's it..

So i can't create a google sitemap, or do anyone here got a super solution? I would be so, so glad!!!

    INFO:
    Domain name: http://truemoneymaker.net
I have added "config.xml" and "sitemap_gen.py" to the root folder.
I got this Unix Path from my host: (dittdomene = yourdomain) "/customers/dittdomene/dittdomene/httpd.www/"

    Pleas, help me!

Search on Google for Google sitemap creator, there are a few, some which you just type in your URL.

At their very basic level, you can get by with this syntax:

    http://www.online-literature.com/authors.xml

So it usually isn't a big deal to write a custom script to output it all (what I usually do).

Thanks, but none of them finds even near to what i have written myself in the config.xml file... Do you know of any generator that allows me to put in text like this: "<urlhref="http://truemoneymaker.net/" changefreq="daily" priority="1"/>" ???

Or do i have to/ can i open the generated xml file and write in all the links my self (a LOT of work....) ?

I am not understand your problem so I apologize if this is not a solution.

But someone else here suggested before this site who does it for free.

I used it and submitted for 3 of my sites and it worked fine.

    Maybe you can use it.

An XML file is just a text file with a .xml extension, so yes, you can open it and edit it as needed.

Okey, but now i got an error, after uploading to google and waiting a couple of minutes....

    "Line 440: Parsing error
We were unable to read your Sitemap. It may contain an entry we are unable to recognize. Please validate your Sitemap before resubmitting"
    "Line 440: Invalid URL
This is not a valid URL. Please correct it and resubmit
    URL:
    Parent tag:
    Tag:
    url
    loc"

You can Download the sitemap file here: http://truemoneymaker.net/sitemap.xml

Can you pleas check out what is wrong, and tell me/fix it ? Pleas....

Can "&" be the problem? When i am opening the file in a browser it says "XML parsing failed", and marks an "&" sign as being the problem - Can that be it?

Edit: forget it, i had som links to searches that i made on my site, and that dosen't work :-(
