will I lose PR doing this?

    Hi all,

    Great site

Just a quick question, Ok so its not a good idea passing you PR to other sites. At the moment I am redirecting my links using redirect.asp ....

so, atm all my links are like this:

    website.com/redirect.asp?link=22 or
    website.com/redirect.asp?link=50 or

it takes them to the redirect page and depending on the linkId it takes them to the page, eg yahoo or amazon or whateva.

Just wondering if I will pass on my PR doing my links this way??

    Thanks all, appreciated

You might. The safest thing to do would be to disallow access to redirect.asp using robots.txt

    Oh just a simple question,

The domain of my site is,

    mysite.com

but actually redirects it to mysite.com/shop

it I was to use a robot txt file, (txt file located at mysite.com/shop/robot.txt) to disallow images,

is this the way to do it?

    User-agent: *

    Disallow: /images

    or

    Disallow: /shop/images

    ??

    Thanks for your help

    Cheers

Stick it in your root directory and Disallow: /shop/images
