AVG Virus Scanner

Is this product still free? A few years ago it was just a simple download and you had it forever. Now it seems you have to buy it after the 30 days?

Anyone know?

Yes, it is still free... they just made it harder to find the free download on their site.

Google: AVG FREE

It expires after X days then you have to re-download it... alteast that's what it says to me.

I had the same problem, the download for the new free version is well hidden. I had to google for it. Everyone who runs AVG will probably wonder about it unless they find out somehow. Good program so I'm not annoyed that they've hidden the link because its still findable, even if only just.

Yeah I just searched for AVG, and when I downloaded it I thought they may have decided to get rid of the free version because of it's popularity.

I'm glad it's still free. Saved me probably from a dozen viruses/trojans already.
