Hi,
I run an affiliates program and I was wondering what a fair cookie timeout value is for my affiliates?
What are your thoughts?

by the way my thoughts were 2 weeks - 1209600 seconds.
My products tend to be a 4 week life cycle, so it means that it should cover the affiliate for people that look and then buy a little later, but be shorter enough for me to ensure that affiliates don't continue to get all of the backend business.
My affiliate percent is 10% by the way.
Your thoughts appreciated.

Obviously a larger time is more attractive to affiliates. If you offered them longer cookie times, repeat orders, you'll get more/better affiliates.
The important thing is finding a balance that works well for you.
I'd say a minimum of 30 days.
Thing is if my product life cycle is 30 days, repeat orders will tend to be within 20 days which means they will probably collect ALL backend business.
