Many "blog sites" have high rankings & just redirect traffic to affiliate campaigns!!

I noticed that many "blog sites" (= sub-domain of a blog, like yourname.blogspot.com) have high rankings within search engines, for example - MSN Search & just redirect traffic to affiliate campaigns!!

How is it possible that such sites get a top-5 ranking within search engines (i.e. MSN Search) & the only thing what those personal blog urls do is "re-directing" you to affiliate offers whereby you will NOT see the original blog itself at all?

What is the 'trick' here to get such a high position?

    Thanks!

    Blogs are SEO machines!
Think about it, they are regualerly updated, keyword rich and relevant. If there is a blog on a specific topic and it is regularly updated. Google and Yahoo like newsfeeds and blogs also have these.

Michel MSN is on crack. Dont base it on blogs only. My newest site is 2 days old and I am currently number 2 on MSN search for my term. And its a great term.

The trick? lots of backlinks. And remember I am only talking msn search here

This is just an MSN issue. For a while re-directed blogs where occupying all the top ten spots for "credit cards" on MSN. MSN has been making someone rich.

It's just another BH (black hat) technique. And as you have seen it works quite well with MSN. There are scripts out there which make it very easy to build hundred of new blogs a day, submit scraped pages or a rss feeds with your links embedded and ping at given intervals.

I don't judge, I just keep myself informed.

    Thanks Chris!
    How does that work?

I mean webmasters I referring to don't do more then setting up a sub-domain with blog & re-direct given blog url to any affiliate campaign!! See as example I found: http://www.j-ringtones.blogspot.com

Also noticed that example url I gave has 0 link popularity (= NO back links)!!

My question is how can get someone a top-5 ranking by just doing above mentioned?

But why MSN likes so much 're-directed blogs'?

Let see my blog has name: myname.blogspot.com, it is that MSN looks only at 'myname.blogspot.com' or at domain 'blogspot.com' regarding number of backlinks, fresh content, etc.?

I am sure that it helps that blogger aka blogspot is now owned by Google. Who else would be better at getting the highest rankings?

I really don't know exactly if there is a specific "trick" they are using with MSN.

Hi there! I'm new here, and this is my maiden post.

Yes, its a trick spammers are using in MSN. Its from this certain e-book about black hat SEO blogging strategies. I bought the book a couple of weeks ago, but I will advise against buying it today. It basically teaches you how to spam blogger servers with so-called "splogs".

Personally, I'm just waiting for these blogs to get penalized by either blogger, or MSN itself.
