Is 3 way linking good practice

Recently I've been getting requests for 3 way linking or Triangle linking methods in which I get a link from Site A, and I do not have to link back to, in return I link to one of their other site, Site B, in which they do not have to link back to me.

Is this helpful and in good practice to do? Are there any Cons about it? What are your opinions. Thanks.

I do this with my sites, the link to two of my sites and then those sites link to both those sites. Kind of different to what you are saying as backlinks are essential.

But what you are saying is really no different to reciprocal links, but you don't link back. Just to another site, I think it is ok

I don't see why it would be bad. Any link is a good link. Unless they really screw you over and put their link to your site on one of their bad sites while you link to one of thier good sites.
