WYSIWYG CSS Editor

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good WYSIWYG CSS editor? I downloaded one a bit ago but have since deleted it and forgot its name. I basically just want to easily set 1px borders, and other simple CSS tricks without doodling with any code.

Any WYSIWYG CSS Editor should probably be called WYSIPWYGIIEBMNIFOAOSCB.

Or 'What you see is probably what you get in IE buy maybe not in firefox or any other standards compliant browser'

No, I mean something like Frontpage or something. An actual program that allows you to easily set CSS properties through a toolbox etc.

I searched google but couldn't find anything.

I use the firefox web developer toolbar, css editor. You can get way more insight in stylesheets with that toolbar then with software such as topstyle.

when you download the toolbar, try opening a CSS site and pressing information>Topographic information, Outline>Block level elements and information>Id & Class details... for instance

There are plenty of free CSS editors which are good enough for those new to CSS but if you are a serious about developing using CSS then you should probably get a paid one as they are (normally) more powerful and allow you to do more with them. I am currently using Liquid XML editor. To be honest, I bought this programme because it had a lot of features for XML and it just happened to have a CSS editor as well so I know its good for XML but not sure how good it is for CSS compared to other CSS editors. You can download a free trial and see whether it is right for you:

And if you don't mind spending a lot more money then I remember when I was in University, we had access to Dreamweaver which more or less does everything for you.

I know this is an old thread, but the information here is still relevant today and I would like to offer alternative WYSIWYG CSS editor called Stylizer: http://bit.ly/Stylizer to anyone who reads this thread.

Stylizer is a CSS only editor that allows you to edit in realtime and see the results as you edit. It's an amazing piece of software that has saved me a lot
of time over the years editing multiple sites. It also allows you to edit CSS in all the popular browsers.

I found Stylizer after getting tired of the edit/save/refresh routine I ended up doing when editing the CSS code manually in a text editor.

So I recommend at least trying Stylizer for anyone who spends a lot of time editing CSS.
