    Country of origin

I'm using blogspot.com for blogs. It tends to get ignored in UK searches. I believe there is a line of code you can use to inform the engines of your country of origin. Any advice?

I thought you needed to either have a uk domain, or be hosted in the UK to be recognised as a UK site?

Yes, I've not heard of any UK meta tags or anything of the sort that would lead the SEs to believe you're located in the UK.
