    Project Gutenberg

First off I wanted to say thanks for all the great answers I have gotten on this forum..

Now my question, I am looking for full versions of the King James Version of the bible. I haven't found alot of sources for it but project gutenberg does have one layed out fairly nice. I am writing an online "Bible Reader", and would like to use the Gutenberg files as my starting point, but I am having trouble understanding the Copyright info included in the files. Would this be allowed.

Does anyone have any other suggestions where to get a copy of the King James Version of the bible?

    Gutenberg copyright is kinda backwards.

    1. If you remove the gutenberg name you can do whatever you want with it.
    2. If you keep the gutenberg name you have to follow their requirements.

Its basically the opposite of what most places do.

From what I understand from reading through a few of gutenberg's "fine print" sections, as long as it is in public domain, you can either:

    A. Use it under their trademark and you can't change it or:

    B. Change it but you have to remove all gutenberg trademarks.

EDIT: Ah looks like I was too late lol
