So are textpattern and wordpress more or less the same? I've read a lot that you can do a lot more with TextPattern than you can with WordPress.

I recommend solutoire, it a nice and free Dreamweaver extension for WordPress. Although it have some bug, but it Support for 90% of the tags.
I have been getting into custom WP themes too. I made one for my weblogs and I discovered it looked horrible in Firefox, so I just revamped one of site - www.thetvremote.com - I am going to roll it over to the other designs,
I just need to switch to tableless layouts when I get more proficient at CSS.
There is a plug-in that allows for better <title></title> tagsOriginally Posted by Cutter
Optimal Title - Its a nice little plug-in.
I really like wordpress. It has a bit of a learnign curve, but once you get past it, it's quite flexible. I've been using it for my blog for a long time, and over time I've customized it a fair bit, including conditionals inside the loop based on page, some categories sorting in reverse order, displaying different bits of info based on category, and "read more" links changing based on category, etc. It's gotten to the point, though, that I've done so much customization I don't want to upgrade, for fear of having to redo it all.
I had thought about this, and have tried to keep all my modifications inside my custom theme, and not modify the actual code in any way. This should make it pretty straight forward to upgrade right?Originally Posted by KelliShaver
Probably. I'm probably imagining that it's going to be mroe work than it would actually be. I'm just worried about plug-in compatability and having to rewrok changes in the theme.
