Is Yahoo worth advertising on then? What sites do you use Chris?
Don't you just love free internet games ?
I've had great results with them.Originally Posted by Mike
Hmmm definitely good news. Is this open to anyone in the world to advertise on?

Ive used AdWords and Overture/Yahoo for my Plasma AWS site. The site is bringing in more than I spend, but I'm not sure I'm getting a good ROI, as I think most traffic comes from natural search engine results. I really should test it properly.Originally Posted by Mike
Mark - I use it, so its definitely open to UK folks. Unlike AdWords, you have to prepay for you promotions, it just charges your credit card whenever you get low in your account.
Hmm, so how will that work without the minimum spend limit now? Can you set how much you want to top-up with each time?

I've got a successful campaign running on adwords. Haven't given overture a go yet. I've just signed up to see if I can replicate the results on there.
Seems like a really messy interface compared to AdWords though. Perhaps it's just that I'm not used to it.
I set my spend per click for each keyword, then my balance goes down as the clicks are made, and when I get down to $15 (I think), they charge $30 to my card to top up my account.Originally Posted by MarkB
I believe you can select how much is topped up.
I don't think its as easy as AdWords either, but maybe its because I'm nore used to AdWords.
Do you know how geotargeting works with Overture? Am I right in thinking that because I have a UK account, my ads will only show up on UK searches?
Obviously with AdWords, you can select which countries you want your ads served to. Can't see anything like this with Overture.
Hmm, I cant remember. Im away from home at the moment, but will take a look tomorrow when I get back. (I don't remember the logon to get in).
