    Thats kinda awesome how these guys were able to recreate a virius. kinda scarry cause even though its for figuring out a cure it has a chance again to spread.

    My city did NOT handle avian influenza well. A friend of mine was hired to help clean up the corpses, he told me about how they gave the hired kids tiny and thin paper outfits (I actually saw it; it's like that paper you use for stuffing into gift bags to conceal the gift--not wrapping paper) and then the government workers had these thick rubber suits. One got a rip in his suit and immediately used duct tape and wrapped it around really frantically and scared, wrapping it around a lot of times.

    And they actually removed dead chickens from an infected barn they gassed on the windiest day that year. Needless to say: feathers carrying the influenza were carried all across the Fraser Valley.
