    Prog on eBay BBC2 10pm

    UK people, there is a programme on BBC2 at 10pm tonight on eBay and its rise to success - thought it should be interesting for people on here.

    Interesting stuff - I liked the bit where he got 'money for old rope' (He found some rope on the beach, and sold it on eBay ).

    Are there many other auction sites out there? How viable would it be to make a free one, build market share, then start charging?

    there used to be quite a few of those auction sites. ubid.com sticks out the most to me right now, Amazon used to do auctions too I believe.

    I thought it was quite good, although perhaps a little short. I thought the Cherie Blair bit was interesting as well
