    dogpile screwing with my ranking

I should be number one on dogpile for one of my terms (I was for about 18 months), but for the last two months I have been way down.

Currently I am number 11, including six sponsored listings in front of me.

But what really gets me is:

1/ my site is recorded as a 'sponsored listing'
2/ my "[Found on]" entry does not mention google (on which I am number 1)

It is only dogpile so it is no big deal, but just shows how things can go wrong on search engines, unless it has been done deliberately.

Interesting - one of my sites is #2 on Yahoo, and when I filter down to only Yahoo results on Dogpile, the site is still not found at all.

How much traffic is dogpile sending you? Some of my sites get a tiny bit of traffic from them, but nothing close to significant.

Sending me less than 0.1% ... I check it to monitor competition and generally see what is going on. I just thought it was interesting that it was not actually 'working', it was not doing what it is supposed to do. If it was a start up search engine sending me 0.1% then I wouldn't mention it, but dogpile is meant to do something in being the leading meta-seach and has a reputation for doing it (mamma sends me less than 0.05%).

I have my suspicions that there has been deliberate manipulation because if a user clicks on my site they do not need to click on any others, but with my site not at the top then there is more chance that the 'sponsored listings' willl get clicked as the user tries to find what they are looking for. But perhaps that's just me being paranoid.
