Will WebsitePublisher have ads on ever?

If the page views a month on website publisher totalled over 150,000 will you put ads on it? If you do could you possiblty refrain from putting them on the forum pages, because I would proberly slip away to another forum, as I expect many people here would...

    I think a couple of google-textbased-ads wouldn't hurt anyone.

    I'm not sure.

I'll definitely put ads on when it reaches 300k per month, 150k though -- we'll see.

Right now its at about 90k a month btw.

    WOW! 90k already!

Games2Go is only getting 50k on its current traffic, but since september it has gained over 450% page views, and it keeps going up so I might get 90k in November if I'm lucky...

i dont think that many people would leave the forum because of an advertisement

im sure most members have connections that can handle the extra 12k a banner would take up

Also - you cant expect a forum to be 100% free. Even small vbulletin forums can be heavy on the bandwidth

There's no way I'd leave because of a few small ads. I think that is being a bit dramatic

Though, if it were my site, I would definitely be putting some ads up at 150k. I'm sure the gains would out-weigh any loss. Though I guess it depends on how strapped you are for cash

I don't mind ads anymore. After a few years of running my own sites I've finally learned that the web is not free, especially when you're running a busy forum.
    I run good-tutorials.com.

    It's how I roll.

I don't mind banner ads at all, it's those flash popups and the ones that just scroll across the screen.
Don't you just love free internet games ?

The first ads I add will likely be Adsense.
