Most people (I'm talking about good designers) just design the layouts in Fireworks, and Photoshop. They export single images: jpg, png, gif. The html and css are made by hand.

    Go here: http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp
    and here: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

If you want to learn. Otherwise you're stuck with Frontpage.

Out of all the WYSIWYG editors, I's have to say FrontPage is the worst The markup it generates is rubbish. Better off using Dreamweaver.

You can develop good templates in Photoshop, and slice them up in ImageReady (it will even make the HTML for you if you're not confident you can make it yourself).

This is the best site I have for Photoshop tutorials

    http://www.good-tutorials.com/

Have a look in the web layouts section for good tutorials on web layouts.

    Good luck.

Dreamweaver with Photoshop you can do really nice templates. You can also do "ok" templates in next to no time. My "ok" templates I do in photoshop and then complete the kinks in dreamweaver. Takes about 30mins, sample www.horror-movies.ca

If you set aside a couple hours you can do something truly great. I also suggest you take frontpage and BURN IT!!! Its horrible
