Most search engine friendly forum software?

Is there any consensus on what the most search engine friendly forum software is? I've been running a forum on PHPBB for over 2 years and I am ready to make a change.

Have you disable session id's? Thats really all I've heard on the subject.

Well really you just need to disable session ids -- I personally do not think its worth it to try to remove the query string entirely from a forum. You'll run into URL integrity issues if you ever need to upgrade the software.

IIRC, there is a mod to disable sessions for spiders. Maybe check out the phpbb website or the phpbbhacks one.

vBulletin disables sessions automatically for spiders, I believe; even shows which spiders are crawling your site in Who's Online.

The vext version of PHPBB is suppposed to do that also. However, nobody knows when that is going to be released. Especially with one of the main developers moving on.

    ..sigh...

I might have to upgrade one of these days.....
