    storage/bandwith needed for forums?

I'm thinking of starting out with phpBB, then hopefully upgrading to vBulletin in the future.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of hosting plan I'm going to need.

What would something like this board require? (around 1000 members) versus something like physicsforums.com (25 000 members..pretty busy)

    thanks for any info!

getting members on a forum is very hard, and thus you wont get like 25 000 members within a year, you should start off with a small host, possibly hostony, or globat with 100gb transfer.

I agree. It'll probably take enough time to justify migrating between hosts.

Yes, no need to worry about space or bandwidth when you are just starting out. Later, you should be able to run some ads (like Adsense) to cover the extra cost if your forum gets large.
