I submitted one of my sites to Zeal (after a lot of work) and I'm convinced it did nothing for me.

yea that little test on Zeal is a hell of a lot of work.

It used to be harder, they made it easier.

Do you mean it was even harder than what these guys experienced, or it's easier than they experienced now?

It used to be harder than what it is now.

You can take the test as many times as needed to pass, and it used to be that you had to get your average score up above passing to move on, they changed it so that now you only need to pass once.

With the average score thing if you did bad the first couple times you basically had to get alot of near perfect scores and spend alot of time doing it.

I passed that Zeal test way back. What a waste of time that was!

I think it only took me one or two tries, but it took them forever to approve the submissions and I don't think it did jack for me.

I took the test - tricky little one that - a while ago and got in. I think I did it when you only had to pass once rather than drag an average up though. Common sense and 2 or 3 attempts should get you in.

I submitted house buying and got in, but what use is Zeal now?

If you opened their site in another browser window you could find the answers on their site while taking the test

I just signed up as a editor for JoeAnt. No stinking test and it looks like a nice directory. Don't know how much it will help my site, but I do know it will not hurt it

getting into zeal helped a lot when msn was still listing looksmart results. i ended up getting a lot of top spots because they listed me as being in their "directory". of course, about a week or two after i managed to get those top spots, msn stopped including looksmart, and i haven't been to zeal since
