I only skipped over the article, but it looks nonsense. I'm pretty sure google has a sandbox, a few of my sites are ranked no.1 on msn and yahoo for competitive keywords, but because they are only a couple of months old are not ranked AT ALL on the google SERPs for the same keywords. It's in DMOZ and Zeal, and I've bought links to it on several similar sites. I made a press release for the site, like you said, I give away articles, like you said, but my site still isn't ranked on google. I'm in the 'Sandbox', no doubt about it, I've talked to loads of people who are SEO consultants full time, and almost all of them agree with the sandbox theory.

Well, as Aspen (Chris) once said (though worded differently): There are as many examples of the Sandbox not existing, as there are of it existing.
