A gutter (screw) question? This the place?

I had new gutters put in a couple years ago. Took down the downspouts for painting. They used straight blade screws. Some look discolored / 'rusted'?

Looking to get more gutter screws, I saw on the web that they come in Aluminum. I was at Home Depot and got gutter screws (with phillips heads) that say stainless.

The straight blade screws are more strongly attracted to a magnet than the phillips (that are also attracted but weaker).

I, too, always recommend to everyone I know to replace the whole set of screws if at least some of them are rusty.

"I would also certainly replace the screws from the standard ones with new ones in your case. I practically always do that. Rarely have I come across screws that aren't all rusty. Also, the default screws are sometimes not of the best quality. In any case, if I find that at least some of the screws are rusty, I change absolutely the whole set of screws to my own to avoid problems later on. As far as I know, aluminum is not attracted to the magnet.
Most likely, it is the rust marks on the roof, not the tannin. Again, replace all the screws at once. Even the ones that look normal. They are probably all of the poor quality. But still, don't forget to keep your gutters clean. You can do this yourself or through private firms. They do their work well, and you don't risk falling from a height and breaking something. I usually turn to cleanproguttercleaning.com with such a request. Tanin is also unpleasant to look at, so it is better not to start the condition of your home. "
