    meta tags and adsense

Would meta tags possibly help adsense better decide what kind of ads to run on a site? On a related note, whenever I insert meta tags on one of my pages, the background color disappears, does anyone know why this happens?

I don't believe that it can see meta tags; or if it can, then there are some funky things turning up for sites with the word "art" being primary on them.

I can see the background color on both of the pages in your signature, and the Halo 2 Hints site has meta tags.

I very much doubt it. If they could, people would just fill them with high paying keywords...

That's what I don't understand. Halo 2 Hints has meta tags and the page is fine but if I try to put them on Strange Facts the background color disappears, so I took them off. I was hoping adsense looked at them because they aren't really getting good targeted ads for Strange Facts but oh well.

Then you should put some more keywords in the content on your page. Use the keyword near the ad, too.

The problem is with the Strange Facts site. Adsense is reading all the facts and giving ads that won't have a good click through for the site. I want some interesting fact or joke links and it is kind of hard to get too many of those keywords in there.

Definitely YES... just visit adsense and see it by yourself.
