Hows this happened?

I heard that google was crawling, so I decided to take a look at my site to see if my PageRank may, just may, have gone up. Amazingly it has gone up to 5, but i'm not sure how. I only have 59 backward links which is about the same as when it was branded as PR4.

Anyone know why this may have happened?

Also, i've heard that a PR of 6 is 25x higher than a 5. But my question is 25x higher of what. Links, amount of kewords?

pr 6 is 5x higher than pr 5. Not in links, not in keywords, but in total link value.

Just because the listed number of links has stayed the same does not mean the total number has not changed or that the value has not changed.
