    JS or Robots

    Chris

I've been thinking about it abit ...

For JS links, eg. the document write ones, the link would be viewed as non-existent as the href string is not present ...

But for links using redirected scripts (eg. goto.php - which is listed in robots.txt), eg. goto.php?url=http://x.com, the href string is present.

The 1st method most likely wouldn't lose PR but what about method two, does the google PR computation process simply count the goto.php link as non-existent? (which would be great)

Or do they still factor it as some link? If they do count it still, will it result in PR wasted and/or lost into some sort of a PR blackhole?

If you ban it with robots.txt the two methods work the same.
