Are the links in our forums signature counted as inbound links by Google?

I participate in numerous forums. I wonder whether the links from my signature are counted as inbound links by Google. If so, how much do they help the overall PR of the site?

    Thank you,

    T Ragu

    On this forum yes.

    On most forums, no.

Most forums are not search engine friendly and are not indexed by engines.

    Hi Chris,

I'm trying to figure out what makes this forum search engine friendly whereas others aren't. It looks like the urls have ?, &, and = in them and I thought that's what the spiders didn't like.

    Curiously awaiting your reply

Is there a hack available, or did you have to do it yourself?

There are hacks available for just about all forum software, so yes I used a hack. It was quite easy to do.

I'm not sure, but I think the new version of vbb (3.0?) is SE friendly.
