    DoS Attack

One of my servers (sword site & coupon site) was hit by a DoS attack this afternoon.

Within 105 seconds Ev1 identified and stopped it.

I know many people look down on so-called "unmanaged services" but hey, I'm impressed.

"unmanged services" what is that? It is good that your host stopped the attack, money well spent!

    Chris,

Was it specifically your server or was it some server on that given network?

I'll only be impressed if they shape up and cut it down o 104 seconds.

    DDoS or just DoS attack?

Was it actually networking or that DoS protection they put in place?

I am actually really considering moving to ev1...I have been happy with my provider in the past but it is just not cutting it anymore.

Thats good to hear. I believe whenever a host performs above expectations they deserve public credit.

Just DoS, one IP. That IP was trying to pull 7mbps for those 105 seconds though.

I think it was that protection they put in place.

That is good to know, and that they sorted it out and so quickly.
