    Incoming Links

When you ask other site owners for links, either from a link exchange or non-reciprocal, how many link back?

This is excluding natural links that people add without being asked.

How many of you place heavy emphasis on actively seeking out link? I know I have spent full days exclusively devoted to getting incoming links, with varying degrees of success.

Does anyone just submit their sites to DMOZ and Yahoo and then forget about it?

I'm interested in hearing what your strategies are for incoming links.

Outgoing links dont gain you anything - in fact they will leak your PR.

Only possible gain is having keyword text on your page as a link, which is debatable whether this is better than just keyword text for the linking page.

I need to work on link exchanging, (most of mine have no link exchanges). But I have just submitted a few sites to DMOZ just recently. AWS sites didnt get in though
