review: new design

just got done with a new layout... what are your likes / dislikes? i want to get it right, as i plan to use this same design for the next few sites that i create.

Not bad at all.

Colors are a little dark and dreary, but this is coming from a guy who prefers pastels.

I like it.

One thing though, I feel that you should put the "Browse Lyrics by Artist: A B C ..." on the main page, in the contents area. Some may just toally miss it up the top - but still keep it there also.

I like the layout. It's easy to navigate.

I don't like the colors, however. They are too dark for me, and they don't seem to match.

The colors are too dark for me, too. When I hear the term 'Lyrically Squared,' I imagine 'happy,fun' colors, like pale oranges, melons, yellows, etc.

You have lots of info! How long did it take to get that amount of content?

hmm.. i actually thought the layout was pretty light -colored (at least compared to the previous color scheme)... anyway i'll try to come up with a few alternate stylesheets, and maybe a script that randomly selects one..

the browse is also located under "search"

took about a year+ to get all the content... it went really slow at first, but as more active members join, it comes in quicker.
