    Link equity is a non-technical SEO term used to reference the SEO value of a hyperlink to a particular website or webpage. According to Google, a multitude of quality hyperlinks (or just “links”) are one of the most important factors for gaining top rankings in the Google search engine.

Link equity can be passed along to a webpage from both internal links (links coming from the same website) and external links (links coming from another website).
