It looks like WP is now part of digitalpoint's new coop ad network. If you look at the pages listed in google as backlinks, you'll see that they all link to random websites, but if you look at their caches in google, you'll see a text ad for WP.
If you view a single post at WP using showpost.php, you'll see a random text ad from the ad network. Example: http://www.websitepublisher.net/foru...post.php?p=445
Yes, I was invited originally when he was just looking for webmaster forums to run it on.
I'm not too thrilled though about the ads appearing as they are on unrelated sites, it looks very spammy.
Yes, spammy is the first thing that came to mind.
The second thing was suprise that you have something like this on your site.
