I personally used to travel solo to several countries. England was my favorite for its friendly people, good food, ease of getting around on public transport and interesting things to do and see. France was a close second. If you are serious about solo travelling, I suggest that you read Solo Travel Reddits. Quite interesting and helpful.

Anyway good luck and enjoy your trip!

There are several factors to consider when choosing the best place to travel alone. First, there is always safety in numbers, so you may want to avoid countries where crime rates are high or that do not have established tourism infrastructure. Second, you should have some interest in the culture of the country beyond just visiting tourist traps. Third, it helps if you speak the language so that you can interact with people. Finally, it's important to consider how much you are willing to spend on travel. Generally speaking, countries in Southeast Asia are safe and have established tourism infrastructure. Furthermore, many of these countries have large expatriate communities so you can find people with whom to hang out. The downside is that if you don't speak the language, it may be difficult to interact with locals, which could make your trip seem boring. If your primary concern is avoiding crime, then South Korea is very safe. However, it's not exactly cheap to travel in South Korea unless you stay at youth hostels and eat bulgogi every day. Also, the tourism infrastructure is generally targeted towards young people looking for a party, so if you are 30+, you'll be bored. Overall, South Korea makes a great place to visit for people who want to experience the modern and fast-paced culture of Asia. The Republic of Korea has a surprising amount of activities and places where you can fully immerse yourself in traditional korean culture. While it's possible to do this alone, your experience will be more fulfilling if you can find a Korean friend to do things with. Also, since much of the culture is built around group identity, you will get out of it much more if you can engage in small talk and add your own flavor to the experience.
