Best Country for starting a business

I was wondering what the best country for starting a business would be. The United States does not seem to be the best for several reasons, most of them legal.

I hear the UK is pretty good. What about taxes though. The USA seems to have less Taxes, unless a corporation is formed.

I hope this question made some sense.

Assuming the business does not have geographical restrictions, The Cayman Islands would be my choice.

Monaco would also be a great place, aswell as Switzerland.

If I could I would move mine into Sealand. (www.sealandgov.com)

The UK seems fine for now, if I'm going to set up a casino I'm gonna go to where 888.com is based.

I spent a few days looking into Sealand. It could have been classed as a country before the UK extended here territorial borders... Shame... Nauru seems the next best place...

I remember that old hosting company thing from a while ago. You could host anything there. Didn't last long though.

Anyone got a link to the C|NET article about it?

It isn't. It's resources are running out, however it invested a lot in foreign countries and it is starting to get tourism. It also makes money from an Aussie asslyum center.

    Um, actually...

    1) It's resources (namely phosphate) are gone, not running out.

    2) It losted it's investments overseas (including a building in my home city, Melbourne, named "Nauru House") due to it's bankruptcy and slack/corrupt government.

    3) There is not alot (if any) tourism in Nauru, although, it may be one way out of trouble for them.

    4) The "Aussie asslyum center", also known as a illegal immigrant detention centre is currently housing very few detainees. It can hardly be considered a "money making exercise" or revenue stream.

Anyway, the fact they are in such a bad position means that you may be able to but the place one day.

Heh Heh... Make the island communist so we all share the money we generate (but I get a healthy return on my loan). Train them all to be webmasters, lawyers, etc.
